I hadn't anticipated that this blog will ever have a post for a herbal tea. But in the COVID-19 times, I am inspired to post this Kadha recipe received from Nilesh Pawar over WhatsApp.

This herbal tea is easy to make at home as per the recipe shared below:

I have translated the Marathi version into a simplified English version below:
Ingredients:
6 basil leaves
Cinnamon 1 cm
Dry Ginger 1/2 cm
Black Pepper 1
Black raisins 4
Process:
Crush cinnamon, dry ginger, black pepper into a coarse powder
Boil all the ingredients in 2 cups of water till it reduces to 1 cup of this herbal tea
Add jaggery or lemon juice as per choice
Recommended portion:
Age 1 to 2 years: 2 spoons
Age 2 to 5 years: 3~5 spoons
Age 5~10 years: 1/2 cup
Above 10 years: 1 cup
